Alexia was born on December 10th, 1945.  Alexia's father was Friedrich Christoph Heinrich Laue and her mother was Emma Johanna Herta Paul.  Her paternal grandparents were Wilhelm Friedrich Christoph Laue and Hanna Friederike Louise Scherf. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Carl, Erwin, Vera and Bonita.  She is the fourth oldest of the five children.
