Margaret was born on January 8th, 1911.  Margaret's father was Giovanni Fornara and her mother was Amelia Bassetti.  Her paternal grandparents were Carlo Fornara and Elisabetta Aghina; her maternal grandparents were Guiseppi Bassetti and Carolina Tamagni (wrong name?).  She is the oldest of six children.  She had a brother and four sisters, named Silvio, Elizabeth "Betty", Eleanora, Josephine "Jose" and Serafina.
