Mary's father was John Henry COOK(E) and her mother was Sarah Ann JAYES. Her paternal grandparents were William COOK(E) and Elizabeth ROBINSON; her maternal grandparents were George JAYES and Sarah Elizabeth HALLAS. She had five brothers and a sister, named John, Herbert, Oscar, Charles, Walter and Edith. She had two half-brothers named Sydney and Ronald. She died at the age of 71 in 1986 in Coventry, Warwickshire.¹
