John was born in 1873 in Chacombe, Northants.1  John's father was Clement CHINNER and his mother was Mary Ann DALE.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas CHINNER and Elizabeth WATTS; his maternal grandparents were William DALE and Sarah MOLD. He had three brothers and three sisters, named George, Frederick, Arthur, Emily, Amy and Alice.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 59 in 1932 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.1
