Авксентий was born in 1811.  Авксентий's father was Григорий Василиев Коровка and his mother was Агафия Филиповна (Корявка).  His paternal grandparents were Василий Коровка and Параскева Димитриева (Коровенчиха). He had six brothers and three sisters, named Михаил, Феоктист, Василий, Александр, Андрей, Савва, Стефанида, Екатерина and Мария.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.
