Lydia's father was Nathaniel Whitney and her mother was Sarah Ford.  Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Whitney and Jane. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Nathan, Nathaniel, Abel, Isaac, Amos, Lydia, Sarah and Joanna.  She died by stillbirth or at birth on January 14th, 1720.
