Jane was born in October 1745 in Prince George's, Maryland, USA.  Jane's father was William Webster and her mother was Jane Elizabeth Gibbs.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Webster and Winifred (Webster). She had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, John, Philip, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary and Eleanor.  She died at the age of 27 in 1772.
