Josephus was born on February 15th, 1721.  Josephus' father was Christian Benoit and his mother was Judoca Coopman.  His paternal grandparents were Carolus Benoit and Mayken Lammertijn. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joannes, Petrus, Barbara and Magdalena.  He was the fourth oldest of the five children.  He died at 3 months old on May 26th, 1721.
