Deborah was born on August 7th, 1809.  Deborah's father was Epes Young and her mother was Nancy Gott. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Epes, George, Albert, Nancy, Nancy, Mercy, Eliza, Lucy and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James and Sarah.
