John Young

John was born on January 28th, 1753 in Kirkliston, West Lothian, Scotland.  John's father was Thomas Young and his mother was Katherine Baillie.  His maternal grandparents were John Baillie and Catharine Johnston. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James, William, Thomas, Margaret, Kathrine, Christian, Mary and Jean.  He was the oldest of the nine children.
