James Young

James was born on July 24th, 1759 in Kirkliston, West Lothian, Scotland.  James' father was Thomas Young and his mother was Katherine Baillie.  His maternal grandparents were John Baillie and Catharine Johnston. He had three brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Thomas, Margaret, Kathrine, Christian, Mary and Jean.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
