Micajah was born on March 1st, 1806 in , Rowan, North Carolina, USA. Micajah's father was Rev. Jonathan L. Lipps and his mother was Sarah Gullett. His paternal grandparents were John Lipps and Elizabeth Tompkins; his maternal grandparents were DANIEL Gullett and MARY B. He had four brothers and a sister, named John Jesse, Daniel, Nelson, Jonathan Mulkey and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 92 on June 6th, 1898 in Bristol, Sullivan, Tennessee, USA.-
