Imaine was born in 1152 in Looz, Limbourg, Belgium.1 Imaine's father was Count Ludwig von Loos I and her mother was Agnès von Metz. Her paternal grandparents were Count Arnulf von Loos V and Agnes von Rheineck. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Gerard, Gerhard, Agnes, Sophia and Adelaide.
