Ludwig was born in 1130 in Looz, Limbourg, Belgium.1 Ludwig's father was Count Arnulf von Loos V and his mother was Agnes von Rheineck. His paternal grandfather was Count Arnulf von Loos IV. He had a sister named Sophie. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 41 on August 11th, 1171.1 General Notes
