Sibyl de Hainault

Sibyl was born in 1180 in Hainault, Lorraine, France.¹ Sibyl's father was Comte Baldwin V (VIII) and her mother was Comtesse Margaret d'Alsace. Her paternal grandparents were Comte Baudouin le Batisseur de Hainault IV and Adelheid de Namur. She had a brother and two sisters, named Baldwin, Isabelle and Yolande. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 47 on January 9th, 1227.¹
