Earl of Ulster John de Burgh 
John was born in 1286 in Ulster, Ireland.1 John's father was 2nd Earl of Ulster Richard (The Red) de Burgh and his mother was Margaret de Guines. His paternal grandparents were 1st Earl of Ulster Walter de Burgh and Avelline Fitzgeoffrey; his maternal grandparents were Count Arnould de Guines III and Alice de Coucy. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Walter, Thomas, Edmund, Avelina, Eleanor, Matilda, Elizabeth, Catherine and Joan. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 27 on June 18th, 1313.2 -
