Gertis Richard was born on June 8th, 1911 in Person Co, NC. Gertis Richard's father was Howard Arthur Yarbrough and his mother was Sallie May Gentry. His paternal grandparents were James Ruffin Yarbrough and Frances 'Fannie' Gentry; his maternal grandparents were John Thomas Gentry and Nancy C. Rhew. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Arthur Howard, Newton Jesse, Mary Rena and Rellia. He died at the age of 72 on April 24th, 1984 in Roxboro, Person Co, NC.General Notes
