Katie L. was born on August 3rd, 1894 in Chapel Hill, Orange Co, NC and her baptism took place in Marriage Info. Katie L.'s father was Henry Adolphus Tilley and her mother was Mary Josephine Lloyd. Her paternal grandparents were James Tilley and Temperance Roberts. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Frank Paul, Walter B., James Marion, Henry, Belle H. and Dora P.. She was the third youngest of the seven children. She had two half-sisters named Lorena Elizabeth and Cora Edna. She died at the age of 94 on July 30th, 1989 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co, NC.General Notes
