Sir Robert Stewart 
Robert was born in 1280 in Daldowie and Allanton, Scotland.1 Robert's father was John of Bonkyl Stewart and his mother was Margaret de Bonkyl. His paternal grandparents were 4th High Steward of Scotland Alexander Stewart and Jean MacRorie of Bute; his maternal grandparents were Sir Alexander Bonkyl and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and a sister, named Alexander, Alan, Walter, James, John, Hugh and Isobel. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He had a half-sister named Margaret.-
