Mary Alice Skaggs 
Mary Alice was born on August 20th, 1861 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Mary Alice's father was Henry David Skaggs and her mother was Ruth S. Salsman. Her paternal grandparents were Stephen Skaggs and Rhoda Warren. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Robert Joseph, Lewis Young, Betty Alice, Virginia Ann, Rhoda Ellen, Louisa Catherine and Emily Susan. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 70 on March 27th, 1932 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., Kentucky. She was buried in Corinth Baptist Cemetery, LaRue Co., Hodgensville, Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
