George Skaggs 
George was born on April 15th, 1801 in Hardin County, Kentucky.1 George's father was James Skaggs and his mother was Hannah Holbrook. His paternal grandparents were Henry Skaggs and Berry (Nannie) Skaggs. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry, Jesse, Stephen, James, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 85 on May 20th, 1886 in LaRue County, Kentucky. He was buried in Old Sherman Cemetery, LaRue County, Kentucky.2 1 -
