Bennie Dever Skaggs 
Bennie Dever was born on January 14th, 1890 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Bennie Dever's father was William Anderson Skaggs and his mother was Martha Francis Nelson. His paternal grandparents were William L. Skaggs and Mary Johnson. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Thomas, John Berton, Miles Talmadge, Henry Matt, Emma Green, Bessie Alice and Mary Lela Rebecca. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 27 in March 1917 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
