Winnie 'Willie' E. was born on May 25th, 1896 in Pikeville, Bledsoe Co, TN and her baptism took place in Census 1930. Winnie 'Willie' E.'s father was Rev. Simon Dillard Simmons and her mother was Mary Lucinda Lawson. Her paternal grandparents were Zachariah Thomas Simmons and Mary Louisa Dodson. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Isaac Clinton, Lewis Dillard, William Austin, Jacob Z. T., Simon, James Amos, Fredrick Moulton, Samuel Litton, Hettie Jane, Margaret Lou, Stacy Hortense and Eliza Mae. She was the second youngest of the thirteen children. She had two half-sisters named Essie and Lema D.. She died at the age of 69 on September 17th, 1965 in Pikeville, Bledsoe Co, TN. She was buried in Blackburn Cemetery, Bledsoe Co, TN.General Notes
