Ruth Janel Shofner 
Ruth Janel was born on August 12th, 1890 in Kentucky.1 Ruth Janel's father was Thomas Jefferson Shofner and her mother was Louisa Catherine Skaggs. Her maternal grandparents were Henry David Skaggs and Ruth S. Salsman. She had three brothers and three sisters, named David Cleaver, Charles Thomas, Chester Young, Bettie Susan, Myrtle White and Ethel Maye. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at just 15 days old on August 27th, 1890.1 General Notes
