Hazel Alice was born on October 22nd, 1895 in , , California, USA.1 Hazel Alice's father was William Nathan Shipley and her mother was Nancy Alice Ragle. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Shipley and Mary Sharp Lester. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Nathan William, Clifford Thomas, Charles Edgar, Maude Elizabeth, Clara M., Florence Virginia, Minnie Geneva and Lenore Elizabeth. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 90 on December 13th, 1985 in , Contra Costa County, California, USA.1 -
