Charles Edgar was born on April 25th, 1909 in Orosi Township, Tulare County, California, USA.1 Charles Edgar's father was William Nathan Shipley and his mother was Nancy Alice Ragle. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Shipley and Mary Sharp Lester. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Nathan William, Clifford Thomas, Maude Elizabeth, Clara M., Florence Virginia, Minnie Geneva, Hazel Alice and Lenore Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 83 on July 8th, 1992 in Selma, Fresno County, California, USA. He was buried in Smith Mountain Cemetery, Dinuba, Tulare County, California, USA.2 1 -
