Joseph Young was born on September 6th, 1866 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Joseph Young's father was Joseph Henry Roberts and his mother was Lutisha T. Hopper. His paternal grandparents were Henry Roberts and Rebecca Anna Thomas. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Charles Allen, Henry M., John Wilkes, William Price, Ralph R., Jesse Caveness, James Wilson and Kathrine. He died at the age of 48 on February 5th, 1915 in Brunswick Co, VA. He was buried in Rawlings, Brunswick Co, VA.1 General Notes
