Charles Allen was born on April 19th, 1857 in Leaksville, Rockingham Co, NC. Charles Allen's father was Joseph Henry Roberts and his mother was Lutisha T. Hopper. His paternal grandparents were Henry Roberts and Rebecca Anna Thomas. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Henry M., John Wilkes, William Price, Joseph Young, Ralph R., Jesse Caveness, James Wilson and Kathrine. He died at the age of 79 on May 14th, 1936 in Leaksville, Rockingham Co, NC. He was buried on May 15th, 1936 in Mount Herman Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockingham Co, NC.General Notes
