Jeannie was born in 1861 in Grayson Co, TX.1 Jeannie's father was Andrew J. Roberts and her mother was Tennessee Jane Steel. Her paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Roberts and Rebecca E. Jones. She had five brothers and a sister, named America, John S., James T., Melville J., Andrew M. and Margaret S.. She was the third youngest of the seven children.1 General Notes
