Monroe Ray 
Monroe was born on August 15th, 1905 in Alamance Co, NC. Monroe's father was John Henry Ray and his mother was Nora S. Painter. His maternal grandparents were William 'Bill' J. Painter and Mary Elizabeth 'Mollie Bet' Yarbrough. He had a brother and a sister, named John Ruffin and Bessie. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died due to Coronary Occlusin at the age of 58 on July 20th, 1964 in Haw River, Alamance Co, NC. He was buried on July 22nd, 1964 in Alamance Memorial Park Cemetery, Alamance Co, NC.General Notes
