Elizabeth was born in 1823 in Kentucky, USA. Elizabeth's father was Simon Peace and her mother was Mary Akin. Her maternal grandparents were James Akin and Mary Murphy. She had a brother and five sisters, named James, Malinda, Sarah, Priscilla, Nancy and Mary Ann. She was the third youngest of the seven children.General Notes
