Virginia Orr Farris, 75, of Charlottesville, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in a local care facility.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Fred Faught, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 27 at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home. Interment was in Monticello Memory Gardens.
She is survived by a son, Glenn Steven Drewry and his wife, Tammy McDaniel Drewry, of Keswick; a daughter, Suzanne McGehee and her husband, Bradley, of Louisa; a sister, Johnnie Lee Ward and her husband, Kenneth, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Lori Fitzgerald and her husband, Aaron, of Charlottesville, Ryan Drewry of Keswick, Scott McGehee and Lee Sokolov, of Louisa, Jason McGehee and his wife, Jamie, of Louisa, and Michael McGehee and his wife, Kristy, of Ashburn; five great-grandchildren, Joshua McGehee, Meghan McGehee, Emma McGehee, Zachary McGehee and Mackenzie Fitzgerald; two nieces, Renee Lee and Denise Quintanilla; and one nephew, Kenneth Ward Jr.
Mrs. Farris was born March 7, 1930 in Bossier Parrish, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Albert Jeffery Orr and Georgia Jenkins Orr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Farris.
She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and was a long time employee of the University of Virginia Hospital.
