Charles Hazel was born on March 8th, 1893 in Rockingham Co, NC. Charles Hazel's father was Samuel Garrett Knight and his mother was Ollie Louise Wilson. His paternal grandparents were John C. Knight and Elizabeth Roberts. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Gordon, Paul Matherson, Dennis Lane, Irene L. and Vivian Agatha. He was the second oldest of the six children.General Notes
