Mary E. was born about 1872 in Indiana.1 Mary E.'s father was Avery Paul Kirby and her mother was Phernetta Owen Foster. Her maternal grandparents were Bartlett (Bart) Foster and Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" O'neal. She had three brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Milas Clayton, Milas Clayton, Malloy M, Sarah M., Rosetta, Effie Myrtle and Raligh. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died on May 14th, 1947 in Jackson, Indiana, USA.-
