Jane was born on October 8th, 1768 in 96 District, SC.  Jane's father was Captain Samuel Kerr RWS and her mother was Mary Calhoun.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Kerr and Margaret Pickens. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Catherine and Ruth.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 87 on November 2nd, 1855 in Bibb Co, Alabama.  She was buried in Tannehill State Park, McCalla, Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama.
