Omer D. Kern 
Omer D. was born on July 28th, 1897 in Franklin Co, IL.1 Omer D.'s father was Gettis Montgomery Berryhill Kern and his mother was Nancy 'Nannie' Lydie Turner. His maternal grandparents were Monroe L. Turner and Martha Leah Grant. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Clifford D., James Arthur, William, Samuel Jones, William Glenn, Pearly May, Nellie L., Carrie, Ivy R., Ruby Furman and Lottie Marie. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 68 in September 1965.1 General Notes
