Sir Thomas Cecil Jr. 
Sir Thomas Cecil was born on December 30th, 1578 in Burghley House, Lincolnshire, England and his baptism took place on January 1st, 1579 in St Martins, Stamford, Northamptonshire, England. Sir Thomas Cecil's father was Thomas Cecil Sr. and his mother was *Dorothy Neville. His maternal grandparents were John Neville and *Lucy Somerset. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Richard, Honerable Sir Edward, Christopher, David, Lucy, Mildred, Mary, Elizabeth and Frances. In 1635 he came to Maryland and made the first map for the state and was paid by the Crown in land. He returned to England and died in 1662. In 1658 his son, John, came to Maryland to look after his interests.
