James M. Joyce 
James M. was born on December 29th, 1842 in Henry Co, VA.1 James M.'s father was Martin James Joyce and his mother was Sarah Anne Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Sarah Joyce. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Thomas Roberts, Lafayette W., Joseph Sidney, Eliza Jane, Nancy, Martha Susan and Lucinda. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert Alexander and Caroline M.. He died at the age of 19 on April 9th, 1862 in Harrisburg, Philadelphia Co, PA.1 General Notes
