Norman Martin was born on July 19th, 1922 in Rockingham Co, NC. Norman Martin's father was Honor Johnson Grogan and his mother was Kate Burch Martin. His paternal grandparents were Emilous Jackson Grogan and Elizabeth Virginia Smith. He had a brother and a sister, named Horner Wendell and Wanda Taylor.
