Abijah E. 'Doc' Grissom 
Abijah E. 'Doc' was born on February 2nd, 1899 in Van Buren Co, TN. Abijah E. 'Doc''s father was James Phillip Grissom and his mother was Louisa Caroline Simmons. His maternal grandparents were William M. Simmons and Mary Catherine Stipe. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Ernest Toliver, William Herod, Haveron Bryan, Phillip Lee, Lela Mae, Virginia Ann 'Jennie', Mary Belle, Elcie Bell and Mary Lodema. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 79 on January 8th, 1979 in Mc Minnville, Warren Co, TN. He was buried on January 10th, 1979 in Long Cemetery, Van Buren Co, TN.General Notes
