George Edward Goforth 
George Edward was born on February 17th, 1884 in Mitchell Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1920. George Edward's father was Henry Wright Goforth and his mother was Frances 'Fannie' C. Brinkley. His paternal grandparents were George Goforth and Nancy Jane Houser. He had three brothers and a sister, named William Dexter, James R., Jesse and Ida Mary. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 79 on February 19th, 1963 in Shelby, Cleveland Co, NC. He was buried on February 21st, 1963 in Beulah Methodist Cemetery, Waco, Cleveland Co, NC.General Notes
