Osa Myrtle was born about 1878 in Indiana.1 Osa Myrtle's father was Thomas Martin Foster and her mother was Cynthia Ann Jolly. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Hillery Foster and Harriet Bevill. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John Buck, Garrett Van, Franklin, Mary Harriet, Ossie Myrtle and Mussetta Grace. She was the youngest of the seven children.-
