John Foster

John was born in 1755 in Louisa County, Virginia.¹ John's father was James Foster and his mother was Elizabeth Parish. His paternal grandparents were John Foster and Ruth Hoskins. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Bartlett, Anthony, Allen, Zenas, Susanna, Judith and Sally. He was the second oldest of the ten children.
