Polly Elkin 
Polly was born on December 12th, 1816. Polly's father was Abel Elkin and her mother was Mary (Polly) Skaggs. Her maternal grandparents were William (Squire) Skaggs and Mary Simpson. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William Melton, James, Abel ,Jr., Rachel, Nancy, Betty, Diadema and Melvina. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
