Meek Anderson was born on December 30th, 1924 in Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co, NC. Meek Anderson's father was Charles Troy Carpenter and his mother was Aileen Ormand. His paternal grandparents were Edward Anderson Pinckney Carpenter and Caroline B. 'Callie' Hoke. He had a brother and two sisters, named Charles Troy, Lillian Caralyn and Dorcus A.. He died at the age of 80 on January 11th, 2005 in Greenville, Greenville Co, SC. He was buried on January 13th, 2005 in Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, Gaston Co, NC.General Notes
