Maurice Berkeley

Maurice was born in 1398.¹ Maurice's father was Sir John de Berkeley of Betteshorne and her mother was Elizabeth de Bettleshorne. Her paternal grandparents were 3rd Baron de Berkeley Thomas (The Rich) de Berkeley and Katherine Clivedon; her maternal grandparents were John Betteshorne and Goda. She had two sisters named Alianore and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the three children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Roger, Thomas, Alphonsus and Joane.
