Phillip Basset 
Phillip was born in 1184 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England.1 Phillip's father was Baron of Wycomb, Sheriff of Rutland Allan Basset and his mother was Aline de Grey. His paternal grandparents were Sheriff of Oxford Thomas Basset and Adeliza Alice de Dunstanville; his maternal grandparents were Philip Fitzrobert de Gai and Sedzilia de Berkeley. He had a brother and three sisters, named Gilbert, Hawise, Aliva and Katherine. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 87 on October 29th, 1271 in Austria-Hungary.
