J. R. was born on May 28th, 1932 in Grundy Co, TN. J. R.'s father was Arter Parker Baker and his mother was Lattie Lee Measles. His paternal grandparents were Banjamin Levi Baker and Sarah Emaline Measles. He had a brother and two sisters, named Rufus, Infant Daughter and Mary Francis. He was the youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Arter Parker, Rosetta A. and Sarah Rehevena. He died at 2 months old on July 28th, 1932 in Grundy Co, TN. He was buried in Walker Cemetery, Beersheba Springs, Grundy Co, TN.General Notes
