John Bledsoe 
John was born in 1839 in Orange Co., Virginia. John's father was William L. Bledsoe and his mother was Rachell Perry. His maternal grandparents were Peter Perry and Lucy Falconer. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Mose Edward, James, Peter, Charles Lewis, Alpheus Daniel, Lucy and Mildred. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
