Eli Yant

Eli was born on December 11th, 1836 in Pike Twp., Stark Co., Ohio.¹ Eli's father was Phillip Yant and his mother was Elizabeth Shroyer. His paternal grandparents were Phillip Yant and Mary Magdalena Rehrig; his maternal grandparents were Leonard Shroyer and Martha. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, David, Sarah, Mary, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died after 1904 in Huntington, Indiana.¹
